Completed one season as Director of Basketball Operations in 2014-15. A 2012 Rider graduate and former member of the Bronc basketball team, Noon came back to his alma mater after working at University of Maryland Baltimore County and at the University of Miami.
Noon served as the Director of Basketball Operations at UMBC, helping the Retrievers have their finest season in five years. During his time with the Retrievers, Noon assisted in the growth of America East Rookie of the Year and Third Team All-AEC point guard, Rodney Elliott. While overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the program, Noon also controlled the yearly budget, assisted with scheduling and served as a liaison with the strength and conditioning and marketing programs.
Upon graduation from Rider, Noon was a graduate assistant coach with the University of Miami Hurricanes, helping that team experience its most successful season ever as ACC Regular Season and Tournament Champions. During the 2012-2013 season, the Hurricanes were ranked as high as number two in the country and reached the NCAA Sweet 16 as the second seed in the East Region.
At Miami Noon worked under National Coach of the Year Jim Larranaga, where his duties including opponent scouting, player development and statistical analysis. Miami defeated #1 Duke, #13 Michigan State, #19 NC State and the Hurricanes defeated North Carolina three times.
While with the Hurricanes, Noon assisted in the development of ACC Player of the Year, Lute Olson National Player of the Year and Second Team All America point guard, Shane Larkin. Larkin was selected with the 18th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks (currently with the NY Knicks). Noon also worked with ACC Defensive Player of the Year, Durand Scott, Third Team All ACC performer, Kenny Kadji and ACC All Defensive Team member, Julian Gamble. In total seven players from the 2013 Hurricanes squad went on to sign professional contracts.
At Rider Noon made the Rider varsity as a walk-on, earned MAAC All-Academic team honors and was presented the team’s Bubacz Award for Leadership, Sportsmanship and Scholarship.
Along with his duties with the Broncs, Noon is currently on the Board of Directors for Rising Coaches Elite Organization.
Noon is a graduate of Cherry Hill (NJ) High School West, where he won the South Jersey “Unsung hero” Award, serving three years as team captain in basketball while also captaining the varsity baseball and soccer teams.
