Rider University Athletics

At Rider:
Public Relations major with an Advertising minor…three-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic honoree.

2016:

• Started all 19 games as a senior captain.
• Scored game-winning goal in MAAC victory against Bryant.
• Scored two goals in MAAC victory at LIU Brooklyn.
• Had an assist in victory versus Siena to clinch Rider's 17th consecutive playoff appearance.
• Scored four goals (sixth among Broncs) and had one assist on the season.

2015:

• 59-game veteran…started all 19 games as a junior.
• Two goals on the season but one was a game-winner as the Broncs defeated La Salle 3-2.
• Also scored against Drexel.
• Selected to the U21 Young Women’s National Championship Tournament by USA Field Hockey in the summer of 2015.

2014:

• As a sophomore, started all 20 games.
• Was fourth on the team with 22 shots and fifth on the squad with two assists.
• Played 1,388 minutes.

2013:

• As a Rider rookie, appeared in all 20 games, making 18 starts.
• Nine goals in 2013 and five were game-winners, including four in MAAC games.
• Three-time MAAC Rookie of the Week honoree.
• Two goals in Rider’s win at Towson and also scored twice in a Bronc conference win against Sacred Heart.

At Seneca High School:
Four-year letterwinner for field hockey as a midfielder…team captain and MVP…First Team All-Conference…two-year letterwinner for track, running the 55 dash and 200 in the winter and 100, 200 and 4x100 in the spring…New Jersey State qualifier and ran in the Penn Relays…also lettered twice in basketball and was a two-year letterwinner on the Seneca Boy’s Golf team…Student Government treasurer…National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society…top 10 percent of her graduating class…also participated in DECA and was a three-time state qualifier...hobbies include volunteering for the Special Olympics, going to the beach and surfing…personal: daughter of Jim and Gina O’Brien, older sister Kristina.
