- The Broncs were selected third by the league's coaches in the Metro Preseason Poll, including a first-place vote. Rider finished third in the regular season in 2025 before reaching the MAAC Tournament Finals with wins over Siena and Quinnipiac. The Broncs ultimately fell in the finals to top-seeded Fairfield.
- Rider returns four starters from a season ago led by 2025 Second-Team All-MAAC honoree Makenna Mason (Hilton Head, SC/Hilton Head Island). Mason was also named to the preseason All-Metro Team in 2026 after finishing third in the MAAC with 1,031 assists a season ago while also adding 245 digs, 39 blocks, and 19 aces. Mason recorded her 2,000^th-career assist earlier this season against East Texas A&M.
- Other returning starters include 2024 Second-Team All-MAAC honoree Molly Rohde (Hortonville, WI/Hortonville), outside hitter Rylah Robinson (Fairfax, VA/Robinson), and defensive specialist Tyler Adams (Wilmington, DE/Ursuline Academy). Rohde was second in the MAAC in 2025 with 121 blocks, and already ranks seventh in program history with 338 career blocks in her three seasons as a Bronc. The senior leads Rider with 25 blocks this season. Robinson is the top returning Bronc with 244 kills a season ago, including nine matches with double digits. Adams finished the season with 21 aces and 78 digs.
- Defensive Specialists Simone Langford (Hollywood, FL/Flanagan) and Carly Allen (Buffalo, NY/Sacred Heart Academy) return on the back line. Langford finished second on the team with 28 aces and was fourth on the squad with 176 digs. Allen was fourth on the team with 23 aces last season and totaled 73 digs on the year. Langford leads the Broncs this season with 115 digs on the year.
- Other reserves returning for the Broncs include outside hitters Erynn Gotsch (Deland, FL/Deland) and Cecilia DeCaro (Wilmington, DE/Ursuline Academy), right sides Anja Kelly (Naperville, IL/Neuqua Valley) and Madison Daley (Appleton, WI/Xavier HS), setter Katie Cook (Stanley, NC/East Lincoln [Robert Morris]), and middle blocker Annabell Zachritz (Gainesville, FL/The Rock School).
- Marist leads the all-time series 34-26, but Rider has won four-straight over the Red Foxes, including a sweep of the season series last year. Kiannisha Santiago had nine kills and seven blocks in a three-set Senior Day win last season.
- The Red Foxes are 5-8 on the season, and have been led offensively by Mallory Reck, who has delivered 200 kills on .237 hitting this year.
- Siena leads the all-time series 30-23, but Rider extended its win streak in the all-time series to eight by winning three matches over the Saints a season ago. Rider won in four sets in both of the regular season meetings, before topping Siena 3-0 in the opening round of the MAAC Tournament behind 11 kills from Brynn Johnson.
- The Saints are 5-7 this season, and have been led by Mary Claire Deacy, who has 134 kills on .297 hitting, while adding 24 blocks on the defensive end.
