LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University Athletics enjoyed a superb Spring 2026 semester academically, with all 21 teams earning team GPAs of 3.000 or better for the term. Rider's female student-athlete population posted a 3.57 GPA, while the male student-athletes compiled a 3.26 GPA for an overall 3.41 department-wide term GPA.

The men's and women's tennis, women's cross country, field hockey, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving, and softball teams went even further, earning team GPAs of 3.500 or better. 243 student-athletes, accounting for 62% of the Rider student-athlete population, earned a term GPA of 3.000 or better, while 58 student-athletes earned a term GPA of 4.000.

"Having all 21 varsity programs achieve a team GPA above 3.0 is a remarkable reflection of the commitment to excellence that exists throughout our athletics department," said Rider Coordinator of Academic Support Liz Sapudar. "Our student-athletes continue to demonstrate that success in the classroom and success in competition go hand in hand, and we are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished. We are equally grateful for the coaches, faculty, staff, and campus partners who play an important role in supporting our student-athletes and helping them reach their academic and athletic goals."
