LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Women's Tennis fell to NJIT by a score of 6-1 on Friday morning at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility in Newark, N.J.
The Broncs were successful in taking a doubles match, as Lisa Dierick and Kashish Kant earned a 6-4 victory over NJIT's Laura Wipfli and Irene Cocero. However, the Highlanders would ultimately pick up the point in doubles play as a result of winning the other two matches.
Sophomore Chloe Monachelli was responsible for Rider's lone singles win. After NJIT's Asima Sazan earned a lopsided victory in the first set, Monachelli battled back to win 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7). Monachelli's match was also the only one to be extended to a third set in this contest.
