EDISON, NJ - Christian Aiello delivered a dominant performance on the mound for the Rider baseball team to earn MAAC Pitcher of the Week honors following his outing in the series opener against Sacred Heart at Heritage Financial Park, the league office announced today. 

Aiello set the tone early for the Broncs, tossing 6.0 scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out a career-high 11 batters to earn the win. The left-hander was in complete control throughout the afternoon, striking out the side in both the second and fourth innings.

Aiello retired 16 consecutive batters during his outing and kept the Pioneers off the scoreboard through the early frames, leading Rider to a 5–1 victory in the series opener.

The Broncs return to action today when they take on LIU on the road. 
First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
