PENNSBURY, P.A. -- The Rider University Men's Tennis team fell to Drexel, 6-1, in a tightly contested battle on Saturday.
The Broncs' best performance in doubles came from
Heath Paul Waters and
Matt Miller, who won five sets before ultimately falling 7-5.
Nathan Slattery and
Roger Martinez fought a tightly contested match as well, but were defeated 6-4.
In singles, three Broncs were able to extend their matches to a third set. Martinez was the lone winner for Rider, taking down Anthony Moukarzel 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 1-0 (10-7). Waters and
Matteus Froberg Dahlin played in tightly contested matches, yet both ended in third-set tiebreak losses. Waters fell to Josue Guzman 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), while Froberg Dahlin was defeated by Tarek Mo Erlewein 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 7-6 (11-9).
