NEW YORK, NY – The Rider men's indoor track and field team wrapped up competition at the RU Scarlet Knight Open on Friday evening, highlighted by several strong finishes across the track and field events.
Nathan Stortz earned a top-five finish in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a time of 8.41. In the 400 meters,
Matthew Richman placed fifth after clocking 49.95.
Tamrat Snyder delivered one of the top performances of the meet for the Broncs, winning the 800 meters with an impressive time of 1:52.68.
In the middle-distance events,
Juan Nicholas Hidalgo finished fourth in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:36.41, while
Santino D'Amelio claimed a runner-up finish in the 3,000 meters, crossing the line in 8:36.89.
In the field events,
Michael Palmer cleared 1.95 meters in the high jump, and
Damere Lassiter placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 15.69 meters.

"The men were able to get a few wins and some really good performances today. We made some progress.
Tam got a nice win in the 800. He was hoping for a little faster time but he's been doing a really nice job of winning races this season. This will pay big dividends during the championship portion of the season.
Andrew Mateo put up a nice bark in the triple jump. It's been a strong event this season for the men and he is adding some great depth for us.
Ben Walls had a nice day in the shot. He's having a really nice freshman season."
