LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — Rider University Director of Athletics
Don Harnum announced today that former head baseball coach Dr. Barry Davis will return to lead the Broncs during the 2026 season. Davis will serve as the acting head coach while current head coach
Lee Lipinski takes a leave of absence.
Davis previously served as head coach of Rider Baseball from 2005 to 2024 and brings decades of coaching, teaching, and administrative experience to the acting head coach role. The program was a consistent contender in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), winning four conference tournament championships, two regular-season championships, and qualifying for 13 conference tournaments during his tenure. Davis' familiarity with the University, the program's traditions, and the expectations of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) will provide continuity and stability as the team prepares for the 2026 campaign.
