What You Need To Know
- Rider returns to MAAC play Monday, when it plays host to Sacred Heart.
- For the second consecutive year, Rider's radio station 107.7 The Bronc will broadcast a pregame show called "The Hype" live from the Student Recreation Center Atrium starting one hour prior to tip. "The Hype", hosted by Rider students CJ Jackson and Dante Walker, will start at the top of the hour and air for about 45 minutes before the show transfers courtside for the game broadcast. "The Hype" will feature a look at the upcoming game and feature special guests discussing the keys to the game. - The Broncs picked up their first Division I win of the season on Jan. 14, defeating Iona, 72-68.
Flash Burton led Rider with 21 points,
Zion Cruz added 16 and
Shemani Fuller a8dded a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.
- Rider hung with Saint Peter's on Jan. 17, surging ahead by six in the second half before the Peacocks finished the game on a 13-2 run to take the 69-58 victory.
Flash Burton led Rider with 17 points, while
Davis Bynum added a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Flash Burton scored a career-high 27 points as the Broncs erased a 14-point second-half deficit at Fairfield (Jan. 9), before falling, 68-62.

Davis Bynum (19 points, 7 rebounds) and
Shemani Fuller (18 points, 14 rebounds) both had career-best games vs. Manhattan (Dec. 29).
Flash Burton joined the group with 18 points.
- The Broncs lead the all-time series with Sacred Heart, 2-1. The Pioneers took last year's lone meeting in Fairfield. The two prior meetings came in November 1999 and 2000, both Rider wins, in the Pioneers' first two seasons at Division I.
- Sacred Heart is led by Anquan Hill at 16.2 ppg. and 5.9 rpg. Dashon Gittens is close behind at 14.1 ppg. and 5.4 rpg., while Nyle Ralph-Byer (13.1 ppg.) and Yann Farrell (11.4 ppg.) also average in double figures. Mekhi Conner has also contributed 7.1 ppg. and a team-high 5.6 apg.
- The Broncs were picked 10th in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- 14th-year Head Coach
Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 208-217 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) has more head coaching wins at Rider.
