EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced selections for weekly volleyball awards Tuesday and Rider University's Kiannisha Santiago was named MAAC Player of the Week and Makenna Mason was selected as MAAC Setter of the Week.
 
Santiago totaled 38 kills (4.75 per set), while hitting .392 during a 2-0 week for the Broncs. She also added 11 digs, seven blocks, and five aces across the week. Against Marist, the senior had a season-high 23 kills, three digs, three aces, and two blocks. In the win over Siena, Santiago finished with 15 kills, eight digs, five blocks, and two aces.
 
Mason led all setters in the MAAC during the first weekend of conference play, averaging 12.00 assists per set across the 2-0 week. The junior added 12 digs to her 47 assists against Marist to earn a double-double. She followed up that performance with 49 assists, three aces, and four digs against Siena.
 
The Broncs are back in action tonight against Saint Peter's at 6 p.m.
