LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University baseball student-athletes
Kyle Neri (Williamstown, NJ/St. Augustine Prep),
Anthony Paskell (Solon, OH/Saint Ignatius),
Nick Shuhet (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes),
Joe Tiroly (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) and
Brian Young (Neptune, NJ/Communications) have been honored with College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District, the organization today announced.
All honorees possess a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and reach sophomore status academically and athletically. Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings. If more than five student-athletes from an institution are eligible, the five nominees determined to have the best combination of academic and athletic achievement are selected.
Young is now a two-time honoree, while Neri, Paskell, Shuhet and Tiroly have each been honored for the first time.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
