Kendall Reda-Fehsal (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury) and sophomore second baseman
Joe Tiroly (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) have been selected McGriff Rider Athletes of the Month for April.
Reda-Fehsal was red hot in the middle of the month with a nine-game hitting streak from April 9-19, during which time she hit .714 (20-for-28) with six doubles, a triple, four home runs, 24 RBI's and eight runs scored over a nine-game stretch from Apr. 9-19. She was named MAAC Player of the Week consecutively on April 15 and 22. Included in the production were game-winning hits vs. Marist (two-run single) and at Saint Peter's (two-run home run in Top 7). For the month, Reda-Fehsal hit .388 with eight doubles, a triple, four home runs, 29 RBI's and 10 runs scored in 21 games played and the team posted an 11-10 record, including a 10-7 mark in league play.
Tiroly hit .431 (28-65) with 28 runs, 28 RBI's, three stolen bases, five doubles and seven home runs as the team went 13-4. He collected his 100
th career hit and was named MAAC Player of the Week on April 15. He'd go on to set a new program single-season record with his 61
st RBI of the year on May 9 at Canisius.
