LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Elle Catanzarite (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) won at No. 6 singles, but the Rider University women's tennis team fell to Temple, 6-1, Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 7-10, while the Owls improved to 6-11.

The Owls took the doubles point with wins at Nos. 2 and 3 and went on to win each of the top five singles flights to clinch the match victory. Catanzarite earned an 8-5 victory over Aditi Valdya at No. 6.

Laila Fishman (Marlboro, NJ/Marlboro) had the most competitive singles match in defeat, falling in three sets at No. 1 to Irmak Ozturk, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.

The Broncs return to action Friday, when they play host to Fairfield at noon.
