LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider women's track and field team kicked off their 2025 outdoor season by hosting the Rider 5-Way meet on Saturday.
In the 100m sprint, the Broncs claimed four of the top five spots, with Dylan Giloley taking first place, followed by Taylor Johnson (2nd), Jianna Fairfax (3rd), and Hailey Palmer (5th).
Palmer later secured a victory in the 200m, clocking in at 25.13.
Lydia Wallace dominated the 400m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 1:04.78.
Maria Chiariello won the hammer throw event (44.85m) and the disc throw event (37.90m).
Liz Fis delivered an impressive performance, winning both the 800m (2:21.24) and the 1500m (4:44.83).
To wrap up the meet, the Broncs won the 4x100 relay race and break the program record in that event.

We had a nice start to the outdoor season today. Great weather and some strong performances were the highlights.
The women's 4x100 got the day started with a Rider record. They have been consistently really good all year so it is not a surprise they broke the record in the opening meet.
Raisa had a big day winning the long jump and a strong race in the 100 meter hurdles. It was nice to see her have a great start to the season.
Liz Fis had a great day winning both the 800 and the 1500. She raced very confidently today.
Maria had a really nice day winning both the discus and hammer. This should give her some confidence at the start of the outdoor season.
