DAYTONA BEACH, FL –  Freshman Axel Engstrom and sophomore Cooper Dillon (Brisbane, Australia/Laurel Springs) each won at both singles and doubles, but the Rider University men's tennis team was edged at Embry-Riddle, 4-3, on Wednesday. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 3-9, while the Division I Nationally-Ranked No. 15 Eagles improve to 9-3.

Engstrom and Dillon combined on a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles over Alvaro Diaz Rodrigo and Pol Fontdegloria. But the Eagles took the top two flights and the doubles point, clinching it with a 7-6 (3) win at No. 1.

In singles, Nathan Slattery (Nenagh, Ireland) earned a 7-5, 6-3, victory over Joshua Nuyts at No. 2, while Engstrom battled past Diaz Rodrigo, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, at No. 4. Dillon also got past Enrique Amaya, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 6. But the Eagles took the remaining three singles flights to edge the Broncs.
