ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - Rider University men's basketball graduate wing
T.J. Weeks Jr. (Warwick, RI/Bishop Hendricken Catholic [UMass]) has been named to the All-MAAC Second Team, the league office today announced. Weeks Jr. has led the Broncs at 14.1 points per game this season, scoring in double figures in 27 of 30 games played, including each of the last 16 games and 19 of 20 league games.
Weeks Jr. has also averaged 5.0 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game while connecting at 35.0 percent from long range and 85.5 percent from the free-throw line.
In his second season at Rider following four seasons at UMass, Weeks Jr., has eclipsed 20 points three times this season, including a season-high 23 points vs. Siena on Feb. 8.
The Broncs open MAAC Championship play in the opening round vs. Siena Tuesday at 6 p.m. from Jim Whalen Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
