Kiannisha Santiago (San Juan, PR/Hudson Catholic) and graduate wrestler
Tyler Klinsky (Middletown, NJ/Middletown North) have been selected McGriff Rider Athletes of the Month for November.
Santiago averaged 3.59 kills per set and 1.93 digs per set in November on her way to being named the MAAC Player of the Year, while leading Rider to the MAAC Finals for the first time since 2021 in the postseason. The senior was at her best in the postseason with 10 kills, five digs, and four aces in the first-round sweep over Siena. She then had 20 kills on .514 hitting and nine digs in the MAAC Semifinal victory over Quinnipiac, earning MAAC All-Tournament Team honors.
Klinsky posted a 6-1 record to open the season, including wins over a pair of Nationally-ranked opponents. After going 3-1 in a third-place finish at the Princeton Open, Klinsky went on to win his final three bouts of the month. He scored a 6-3 decision over No. 13/15 Spencer Moore of Illinois on Nov. 8, before earning a 10-2 major decision over No. 26/NR Caleb Weiand of Michigan State as the Broncs earned a 24-16 dual victory on Nov. 16. Klinsky finished the month with his most impressive victory, earning a 20-11 major decision over No. 9/9 Jett Strickenberger of West Virginia on Nov. 23. Klinsky was twice named MAC East Division Wrestler of the Week.
