What You Need To Know
- Rider concludes non-conference play Monday, when it travels to VCU.
- Rider has had a brutal early-season schedule, falling at Power 5 schools Virginia, Rutgers, Texas and then-Nationally-ranked No. 2 Houston. The Broncs were also sent on the road to begin MAAC play, falling to Merrimack and two-time-defending MAAC Regular Season Champion Quinnipiac.
- The Broncs earned a win in their home opener Nov. 15 against Division III Eastern University.
- Most recently, the Broncs erased a 12-point second-half deficit to tie the game with 2:09 left at Delaware on Dec. 16. But the Blue Hens scored 10 of the final 12 points to take the victory. 
- AB Coulibaly broke out for 20 points and nine rebounds at Quinnipiac. Antwan Wilson also contributed 13 points in his first start as a Bronc. 
- Caleb Smith has posted two double-doubles - at Rutgers and vs. Coppin State, while coming up a point shy of his third (9 pts, 10 reb) at Merrimack.
- Rider and VCU have met just once - a 90-79 Rams victory on Dec. 30, 2018. 
- Terrence Hill Jr. leads four Rams averaging in double figures scoring at 13.2 ppg. while Lazar Djokovic is next at 12.1 ppg. to go along with 5.0 rpg. Jadrian Tracey (11.3 ppg.) and Nyk Lewis (10.5 ppg.) also average in double figures, while Barry Evans (9.1 ppg.) and Brandon Jennings (8.3 ppg.) have also made strong scoring contributions. Evans is the Rams' leader at 5.8 rpg. and 2.5 apg.
- The Broncs were picked 10th (13 teams) in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- 14th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 207-211 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
