VILLANOVA, PA– The Rider University men's swimming and diving team was topped Wednesday night, 166-132, at Villanova. The Broncs fall to 1-3 on the year, while the Wildcats improve to 3-1 on the season.
Rider won six events in the meet.
To open the meet,
Riley Rowan (Simpsonville, SC/Clonlara),
Matthew Borovik (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield),
Tivon Benjamin (Palm Bay, FL/St. Anthony's Secondary School), and
Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School) got the Broncs the win in the 200-medley relay, swimming a combined 1:30.98.
In the 100-breast,
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional) touched the wall at 55.34 for the win.
Alvarez won the 50-free with a time of 20.60.
Joey Milhomens (Wolcott, CT/Wolcott) earned the victory in the 200-back, touching the wall at 1:51.33.
Benjamin won the 100-fly in 49.49.
To close out the day,
Dawid Turos (Riverwoods, IL/Deerfield), Ruddy,
Ethan Rogowski (Waterford, NY/Shenendehowa), and Alvarez earned the win in the 400-free relay, stopping the clock at 3:05.53.
