LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Lisa Dierick and 
Chloe Monachelli each earned singles victories, but the Rider University women's tennis team fell to Towson, 5-2, Monday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 1-2, while the Tigers are now 1-0.
After the Tigers swept the three doubles matches, Dierick got the Broncs on the board with a 6-3, 6-1, victory at No. 2 singles over Kiersten Tambe. But the Tigers countered with straight-sets victories at Nos. 1 and 5 and third-set tie-breaker wins at Nos. 3 and 4. Monachelli pulled out her third-set tiebreaker at No. 6, defeating Chandre Boshoff, 6-2, 5-7, 10-8.
The Broncs close out the Fall season Saturday, when they travel to George Mason.
