LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Freshman goalkeeper
Ashley Moore made seven saves as the Rider University women's soccer team played Manhattan to a scoreless draw Saturday afternoon on Ben Cohen Field. With the tie, the Broncs move to 2-6-6 (0-4-4 MAAC), while the Jaspers are now 5-4-5 (4-3-1 MAAC).
The Broncs' best chances came late in the second half, with
Leonor Alves getting a clear look from 25 yards out from the goal in the 78
th minute. But her attempt was saved over the crossbar by Jaspers goalkeeper Margaret Brunk.
With just under seven minutes remaining,
Bethie Morgan's free kick from 35 yards out was saved at the left post by Brunk.
