GREELEY, CO– The Rider University volleyball team was defeated in straight sets by Ole Miss Friday afternoon and Northern Colorado Friday night. The Broncs fall to 1-4 on the season. The Rebels improve to 3-2 with Northern Colorado improving to 4-1.
The Broncs got off to a slow start against Ole Miss, falling in the opening set 25-9. Rider responded early in set two with
Brynn Johnson () getting a pair of kills to help the Broncs to an early 7-3 lead, but the Rebels quickly took back control of the match, winning the second set 25-16. Ole Miss closed out the match with a 25-16 third set victory.
The Broncs came out swinging in the night cap, hitting .353 in the first set, but the Bears were even better, hitting .432 to take the set 25-19. Northern Colorado's offense stayed hot in the second set, hitting .286 to take the set 25-20. Down 22-16 in the third,
Rylah Robinson (Fairfax, VA/Robinson) and
Anja Kelly () had two kills each as the Broncs scored six-straight points to even the match at 22-22, but the Bears closed out the set and the match winning three of the next four points.

- Robinson had 13 kills against Northern Colorado, her second match in double figures this season.

Makenna Mason (Hilton Head Island, SC/Hilton Head) had 18 assists against Ole Miss and 11 against Northern Colorado.
