PHILADELPHIA – Adel Al Masude (Brussels, Belgium/GO Lyceum Gent) and Theo Da Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil/University of Rio Grande) scored less than two minutes apart to break a 1-1 tie in the second half and give the Rider University men's soccer team a 3-1 victory at La Salle Tuesday night. With the win, the Broncs' fifth straight, Rider improves to 5-2-0 on the season. La Salle fell to 1-4-2.

Following a La Salle hand ball inside the 18-yard box, Momo Diop (Thies, Senegal/Prive Serigne Touba) converted his team-leading fifth goal of the year on a penalty kick in the 34^th minute. But La Salle answered in the 41^st minute as Colin Beasley scored off a free kick from 25 yards out, curling a shot inside the right post.

The Broncs blew the game open with consecutive goals within 106 seconds of each other in the 67^th and 69^th minutes. Al Masude had his initial shot blocked. But the Broncs regained possession, with Bryan Akongo (London, England/Harris Academy Orpington [Georgia State/Robert Morris]) getting the ball back to Al Masude outside the 18-yard box. Al Masude then rocketed a shot into the left upper 90 for the 2-1 lead at 66:36. Less than two minutes later, six Explorers surrounded and dispossessed Akongo near the top of the box. But it was Da Silva getting to the ball first and delivering a shot inside the left post on one touch from 20 yards out for a 3-1 lead at 68:22.

- The Broncs have won six of the last seven against La Salle, including wins in each of the last two seasons, to take a 14-12-1 lead in the all-time series.  
- Adam Salama (Ramle, Israel/Orthodox [Ottawa Univ.]) made four saves in the win.
- The Broncs have now won at least five-straight games in consecutive seasons following Rider's seven-match winning streak in the final four of the regular season and three wins in the MAAC Championships.
- Cole Sotack (Doylestown, PA /Central Bucks East [Rutgers]), Jack McGeechan (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highlands Regional), Martin Chladek (Prague, Czech Republic/Gymnazium Voderadska [Montevallo]), Ezra Punselie (Nieuw-Vennep, Netherlands/Zaanlands Lyceum), Andrew Erickson (San Antonio, TX/International School of the Americas [Kentucky]), Max Schrader (Cherry Hill, NJ/Scholar Athletes Leadership Academy) and Salama each played all 90 minutes.
