TOWSON, MD – The Rider University field hockey team scored twice in the third quarter to secure a victory over Georgetown, 3-2, Sunday afternoon. The Broncs even their record at 3-3, while the Hoyas fall to 1-4.

Just over eight minutes into the game, Valeria Perales (Madrid, Spain/IES Mirasierra) opened the scoring off a feed from Lyric Scott (Union, NJ/Union). Georgetown had the answer less than a minute later, tying the game at 1-1, where it would stay into the half.

Right out of the break, the Broncs capitalized when Ang Borisow (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) found Olivia Machiavelli (Madrid, Spain/International School Sek el Castillo) for the freshman's fourth of the season. Then minutes later it was Machiavell finding Perales for the junior's second goal of the game to extend the lead to 3-1.
