EDISON, NJ – Ahead of Wednesday's conference tournament first round, the MAAC announced its selections for All-Conference Teams and major awards Tuesday morning.
PJ Craig (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat),
Joe Tiroly (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury), and
Kyle Neri (Williamstown, N.J./St. Augustine Prep/Bryant) were all named to MAAC postseason honors.
Craig was named to the All-MAAC First Team following a stellar regular season as the Broncs' top weekend starter. Craig went a team-best 7-3 on the season while also leading the team in innings pitched and starts. Craig finished the year with 5.28 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 6.24 K/9.
Tiroly was named to the All-MAAC Second Team and the MAAC All-Rookie team after a sensational freshman season. Tiroly finished the year tied for the team lead in HRs (9) and third on the team in RBIs (38). Tiroly was outstanding in the final month of the season, batting .295 while driving in 20 RBIs with six homers.
Neri was named to the MAAC All-Rookie team wrapping up a strong intro campaign in Lawrenceville. Neri finished the regular season batting .305 with six home runs and 24 RBIs. Neri started his college career with a statement going 2/3 with a pair of solo home runs vs #11 East Carolina. Neri enters the postseason on a six-game hit streak batting .440 in the last two series of the year.
The Broncs are set to open MAAC Championship play as the No. 3 seed against sixth-seeded Marist on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. from Pomona, NY.
