- The 2023 MAAC Champion Rider Broncs look to continue the second longest actively win streak in the country in the Liberty Bell Classic semi-final matchup vs Lehigh.
About the Broncs
- Rider returns four offensive starters from a season ago, led by 2023 2nd Team All-MAAC selection Brian Skettini who hit a team-high .313 last season with 67 hits, 46 runs, and 49 RBIs.The Broncs also return a pair of stellar performers from their impressive run to the Conway regional as NCAA Tournament All-Conway Regional Team selection

Erich Hartmann both return after strong seasons in '23. The final returner offensively is 2023 MAAC All-Tournament Team selection
Luke Lesch who started 57 games a year ago while also having 18 multi-hit games, including three multi-hit games and a pair of home runs in the MAAC Tournament.
- The Broncs pitching staff is highlighted by Junior LHP Brian Young. Young was stellar down the stretch as in his final three starts he went 19.2 innings with 14 strikeouts and a 1.41 ERA, including 7.1 innings and four strikeouts vs Fairfield in the MAAC Tournament being named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team. Rider will also see a combination of young arms see action including Sophomores

- Rider leads the MAAC and ranks 13th in the nation with a .980 fielding percentage and has the least amount of errors in the conference with only 19Â on the year.
- The Broncs have also turned the second most double plays in the MAAC this season.Â
- Lesch currently leads the MAAC in doubles with 10.
- Young now leads the MAAC in wins with four.Â
Young Guns
- Rider has seen strong production by a pair of freshman middle infielders Matt Leahy and Joe Tiroly.
- Trioly is currently batting .235 with a .281 average in conference games. Tiroly is coming off a strong weekend vs Siena where in his final two games he went a combined 4-for-9 with three RBIs and a double.
- Leahy has become one of the most impressive bats in MAAC play batting .364 in conference. Leahy has recorded a hit in five straight including four RBIs in the series vs Siena.
Back in the MAAC
- Rider kicked off MAAC play by sweeping each of their first three series to move to 9-0 in the MAAC.Â
- The Rider University baseball team earned a single first-place vote and was selected fourth ahead of the 2024 season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll. Young was the lone Bronc to earn Preseason All-MAAC Team honors.
- Rider is coming off one of their best seasons in program history. Rider played in a regional for the 15th time in program history, and Rider's 36 wins matched the 2010 team for most wins in program history.
- Rider also won their fourth MAAC Championship, all under Head Coach Dr. Barry Davis, and reached their ninth appearance in the MAAC Championship Game.Â
- Young was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday 3/26/24 following a pair of strong showings in Rider's series sweep over Quinnipiac.Â
Last Time Out
 - The Rider University baseball team extended the second-longest win streak in the country to double digits while sweeping their third straight MAAC opponent by taking down Siena 6-1 on Sunday afternoon. With the win, Rider moves to 12-14 and 9-0 in the MAAC
 - Rider had 11 hits on the day with Skettini, Lesch, Tiroly, Anthony Paskell, Richie Sica, and Leahy all recording a hit.Â
- Skettini moved his hit streak to 10 games and on-base streak to 19. Â
- Lesch has now reached in all 26 games played this year.Â
Liberty Bell Classic
- Last year Rider claimed the Liberty Bell Championship, defeating Delaware, 8-3, at Citizens Bank Park.Â
- Rider started the Liberty Bell Classic with a 9-7 win over Villanova.Â
-Â The Mountain Hawks earned a dominant 14-3 win in seven innings to put them one game away from the Liberty Bell Classic final at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
- The other side of the bracket consists of Penn, Lafayette, Delaware, and St Joe's.
- The winner of Rider and Lehigh will play the winner of Delaware and Lafayette on Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park.Â

- After dropping two close games on Saturday against Navy The Mountain Hawks swept Bucknell in a Patriot League doubleheader on Sunday.Â
- Lehigh has two players batting over .300 including Rafe Perich batting .407 on the year with six home runs and 37 RBIs.
- Justin Butler leads the team with nine home runs and 38 RBIs on the year.

- Returning for his 20th season is Head Coach Dr. Barry Davis. During his tenure, Davis has transformed the program into a consistent contender in the Metro-Atlantic Conference (MAAC), winning four conference tournament championships, two regular-season championships, and qualifying for twelve conference tournaments. Davis owns a 1038 – 707 career record, picking up his 1000th win last season over Richmond on March 11.Â
