In singles, the Bearcats swept all six flights. Ibragim Turgambekov won the first set of his No. 6 match against McPherson, 6-3, before losing the second by the same score. With the match already in hand the Bearcats, McPherson won a third-set tie-breaker to take the match. Dillon was also competitive at No. 4, falling to Kyle Weekes, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4.
"Tough and well-disciplined teams win matches," said Rider Head Coach
Tom Battaglia. "We did a better job of staying in points longer, but just fell short at deuce of 40/30. Need to be better in those moments."
The Broncs return to action March 12, when they begin their Spring trip in Hilton Head, SC, against Saint Louis.
