What You Need To Know
- No. 4 Rider looks for its eighth-straight win when it faces No. 5 Saint Peter's in Thursday night's MAAC Quarterfinals on ESPN+.
- Rider has won its last seven games vs. Mount St. Mary's, at Manhattan, home games vs. Iona and Quinnipiac, road wins at Niagara and Canisius and the regular-season finale at home vs. Saint Peter's to improve from 5-8 in league play to 12-8 and a tie for third in the final regular-season standings.
- James leads the MAAC at 19.0 points per game and was a unanimous All-MAAC First Team pick. Allen Powell was also named to the Third Team.
- Saint Peter's is led by Corey Washington, who's averaged 16.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Latrell Reid has also chipped in with 11.4 ppg. and a team-high 4.8 assists per game. Michael Houge (8.0 ppg., 5.6 rpg.), Roy Clarke (7.2 ppg.) and Armoni Zeigler (6.9 ppg.) have also made solid contributions. 
- Rider leads the all-time series with Saint Peter's, 44-35. Rider has swept the last two regular-season series, but the 10th-seeded Peacocks scored an upset in last year's quarterfinals over then-No. 2 Rider and leads the series against the Broncs in MAAC Championship games, 6-3, including a 5-2 advantage in the quarters.
- Rider is 17-25 all-time in the MAAC Tournament. The Broncs will play as the No. 4 seed for just the second time, having lost in Albany against No. 5 Siena in 2018-19. In addition to four appearances as the No. 5 seed, the Broncs are 1-4 in the 4/5 game.  
- Second-year Saint Peter's Head Coach Bashir Mason, who began his Head Coaching career at Wagner in 2012-13, the same year Kevin Baggett elevated to his current post at Rider. In 11 head-to-head meetings, Baggett's teams have a 9-2 record against Mason's squads. The Broncs are 17-11 under Baggett against Saint Peter's.
- 12th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 192-182 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
