NEW YORK, NY – The Rider Men's Track and Field team has won back-to-back the MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Rider finished the weekend with 190 points overall and four MAAC champions: Artie Burgess, Devynn Lee, and Jayden DuBard, all finished first in their respective events.
Artie Burgess continued his outstanding season in the 60m adding an Indoor 60m crown to his collection. Burgess, who finished second in the 60m last year, captured his first MAAC indoor 60m crown after running a 6.77 in the finals.
DuBard won the shot put in the field with a new PR mark of 16.30m. Yesterday, DuBard had a strong showing for the Broncs as he finished with a bronze medal in the weight throw. Abraham Ohiokhai-Benson also showed up in the shot put with a 4th-place finish after his new PR of 14.33m.
Lee was impressive for the Broncs on Day 2, returning to his usual ways with a gold medal finish in the triple jump after earning gold in the high jump on Day 1.
