PITTSBURGH, PA- The Rider University Wrestling team suffered an early setback to their weekend on the road falling to #23 Pittsburgh 29-9 on Thursday night. With the loss, Rider moves to 7-7 and Pitt moves to 9-8 on the season.Â

The Broncs' first win of the night came from Junior #28
Colton Washleski (
Flemington, NJ/
Hunterdon Central) at 157 an 8-6 decision over Jared Keslar. The win moved Washleski out to a team-best 25-6 on the season and his 11th win in his last 12 matches.

The night was highlighted by Junior #33
David Szuba (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) scoring a pin over Geoff Magin to cap off the night's dual competition. Szuba scored the fall just over a minute into the second period to finish the night for Rider in Western PA. The fall also was
Szuzba's team-best fourth of the season.
