STATEN ISLAND, NY - The Rider University Women's Track & Field team had a strong start to the day at the Big Apple Invitational Saturday. On the track in the 60H, Mariah Stephens finished third with the time of 8.77 and qualified for ECAC's.
With more action on the track, Valencia Gosser finished six in the 60m with the time of 7.87.
Rider also dominated the field events as Stephens was able to win the long jump with a mark of 5.76m and also qualified for ECAC's. Raisa Thunig finished 4th with a mark of 5.56m and Natya Glasco was able to finish second in the shot put with a 13.52m mark. Chika Efobi finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 12.93m. In the pole vault, Kianna Tucker finished eighth with a mark of 3.60m. Tucker also qualified for ECAC's.
