What You Need To Know
- Rider wraps up non-conference action Sunday when it travels to NC State.    
- After opening the season at 4-2, the Rider is looking to snap a six-game losing skid, most recently falling Friday night at Penn.
- Zion Cruz led Rider at Penn with a season-high 16 points.
- Tariq Ingraham posted his first three double-doubles of the season in three-straight games to open December. 
- T.J. Weeks Jr. has been the Broncs' leading scorer, averaging 13.1 points per game. He's scored in double figures nine times in 11 games played, including a season-high 21 points at Fairfield.
- After reaching the Final Four in 2024, the Wolfpack is off to a 7-4 start in 2024-25. Most recently, NC State fell at #10 Kansas, 75-60, on Dec. 14. The two teams share one common opponent thus far, with Rider winning at Coppin State, 64-53 (Nov. 12), and the Wolfpack defeating the Eagles at home, 66-56 (Dec. 10).
- The Broncs face NC State for the third time in the series, last visiting Raleigh in December 2016. The Wolfpack has won both meetings in the series.
- The Wolfpack is led by Marcus Hill at 12.7 ppg. Jayden Taylor (12.1 ppg.) and Dontrez Styles (10.4 ppg.) have also averaged in double figures, while Ben Middlebrooks (9.6 ppg.) and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield (9.0 ppg., 5.4 rpg.) have also made strong contributions.
- The Broncs were picked seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Rider has had unique success in three prior occasions being picked seventh, outperforming their projections with the 1st (2017-18), 2nd (2014-15) and 6th (2016-17) seeds in the MAAC Tournament in those seasons.
- 13th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 196-191 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) has more wins at Rider.
