What You Need To Know
- Rider returns to action Wednesday, when it opens MAAC play at Fairfield.
- Rider's four true road wins are most in the nation and mark the first time in program history that the Broncs have won as many as three true road games in November. Seven teams currently have three road wins, while 200 of NCAA Division I's 364 teams have yet to win a single road game.
- Tariq Ingraham posted the Broncs' first double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds against Delaware. Jay Alvarez (17), T.J. Weeks Jr. (15) and Zion Cruz (10) also finished in double figures scoring.
- T.J. Weeks Jr. has been the Broncs' leading scorer, averaging 12.5 points per game. He's scored in double figures six times in eight games, including a season-high 19 points at San Diego.
- Fairfield is 4-4 with wins over New Hampshire, John Jay, Vermont and FDU.
- The Stags won both meetings last season to push to a 39-36 lead in the all-time series with the Broncs.
- The Stags are led by Prophet Johnson, whose 11.0 ppg., 7.1 rpg., 2.5 apg. and 2.0 spg. are all team bests. Jamie Bergens (9.5 ppg.) and Peyton Smith (9.0 ppg.) are next in the scoring column, while Louis Bleechmore (7.8 ppg.) and Braden Sparks (6.1 ppg.) have also made strong contributions.
- The Broncs were picked seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Rider has had unique success in three prior occasions being picked seventh, outperforming their projections with the 1st (2017-18), 2nd (2014-15) and 6th (2016-17) seeds in the MAAC Tournament in those seasons.
- 13th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 196-187 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) has more wins at Rider.
