What You Need To Know
- Rider returns to non-conference action Friday when it travels to The Palestra to take on Penn.
- After opening the season at 4-2, the Rider is looking to snap a five-game losing skid, including setbacks in its MAAC openers at Fairfield and vs. Quinnipiac.
- The Broncs erased second-half deficits of 14 (Fairfield) and seven (Quinnipiac) to tie or take the lead with less than two minutes left before coming up short.

Tariq Ingraham posted his first three double-doubles of the season in three-straight games to open December.

T.J. Weeks Jr. has been the Broncs' leading scorer, averaging 13.1 points per game. He's scored in double figures eight times in 10 games, but missed the Stony Brook game due to injury. He scored a season-high 21 points at Fairfield.
- After opening the season with consecutive wins against NJIT and Maryland Eastern Shore, the Quakers have fallen in seven of the last eight. The lone win came on Nov. 30 against Maine.
- Rider and Penn renewed their local rivalry last season, with the Quakers taking a 77-73 overtime victory at Alumni Gym. Rider leads the series, 4-2.
- The Quakers are led by Ethan Roberts at 16.9 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds per game. Nick Spinoso has added 12.2 ppg. and a team-best 7.1 rpg. and 3.4 apg. Sam Brown (9.9 ppg.) and Dylan Williams (7.3 ppg.) have also made solid contributions.
- The Broncs were picked seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Rider has had unique success in three prior occasions being picked seventh, outperforming their projections with the 1st (2017-18), 2nd (2014-15) and 6th (2016-17) seeds in the MAAC Tournament in those seasons.
