LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - The Rider University Baseball team's fall season came to a close, as the Black Team topped the Cranberry Team in the annual series, winning game one 1-0 before the Cranberry team came back to win 1-0 in extra innings, before the Black team won the final game of the series 8-7, also in extra innings.

During game one,
Erich Hartmann (Medford, NJ/Shawnee), who singled, scored on
Richie Sica's (Wycoff, NJ/Ramapo) sacrifice fly.
PJ Craig (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) pitched three scoreless innings with four strike outs and no walks to earn the win, while
Jake Dorety (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.) secured the save with a clean inning, including a pair of strike outs.

In game two, Cranberry's Charlie Magoulick (Arnold, MD/Dematha) scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10
th inning with one out, resulting in a 1-0 win.

In the bottom of the 10
th inning of the winner-take-all contest, AJ Labruciano (Frederickburg, VA/North Stafford) hit a game-winning single, scoring
Kyle Neri (Williamstown, NJ/St. Augustine Prep[Bryant]) and giving the Black team their third consecutive series win. The Black team scored five runs to erase a four-run deficit, ultimately winning 8-7.
Kyle Batt (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) picked up the win in relief.Â
