What You Need To Know
- Rider returns to the Eastern time zone, but resumes a season-opening, three-plus-week, seven-game road stretch when it travels to Coppin State Saturday.
- After opening the season with a setback at #22 UCLA Monday, the Broncs responded with a 68-67 win at San Diego on Wednesday.
- T.J. Weeks Jr. has been the Broncs' leading scorer in both contests, scoring 15 at UCLA and 19 at San Diego.
- RU had a second scorer in double figures in each game, with Alaaeddine Boutayeb going for 14 points at UCLA and Jay Alvarez scoring 15 at San Diego.
- The Broncs have had unique success against WCC foes, winning three of their last four (San Diego, Pacific, Loyola Marymount; loss to Santa Clara) since 2010.
- Coppin State is led by Derrius Ward, who's averaged 14.0 points and 4.5 rebounds through two games. Khali Horton and Ryan Archey have each contributed 8.0 ppg., while Peter Oduro has chipped in at 7.0 ppg. and 4.5 rpg. Julius Ellerbe is the Eagles' rebounding leader at 6.0 rpg., while Cam'Ron Brown's 2.5 assists per game pace CSU.
 - The Broncs return a pair of starters in TJ Weeks Jr. and Tariq Ingraham. Weeks Jr. is Rider's top returning scorer at 10.0 points per game to go along with 6.3 rebounds per game. Ingraham averaged a team-high 6.5 rebounds in addition to scoring 9.3 points per game.
- The Broncs were picked seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Rider has had unique success in three prior occasions being picked seventh, outperforming their projections with the 1st (2017-18), 2nd (2014-15) and 6th (2016-17) seeds in the MAAC Tournament in those seasons.
- 13th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 193-184 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) has more wins at Rider.
