What You Need To Know
- Rider continues MAAC play Thursday, when it visits Saint Peter's.
- The Broncs have fallen in their last two games at Marist on Jan. 14 and to Niagara on Jan. 19. During the skid, Mervin James has seen his streak of 16-straight double-figures scoring games snapped with eight points in both games. He has eight games with 20 points or more this season and leads the MAAC at 19.8 points per game.
- T.J. Weeks Jr. scored his 1,000th collegiate career Jan. 12 vs. Manhattan. He scored the first 843 points in four years at UMass before transferring to Rider. 
 - Allen Powell became the 42nd Rider player to score 1,000 career points against Stonehill on Dec. 8. Already a 1,000-point scorer for his collegiate career entering the season, including 620 in two seasons at North Alabama, James became Rider's 43rd 1,000-point scorer with his 1,000th as a Bronc Dec. 29 at Penn State. 
- Saint Peter's is led by Corey Washington, who's averaged 14.7 points to go along with 5.9 rebounds per game. Latrell Reid has also chipped in with 11.5 ppg. and a team-high 4.5 assists per game, while Michael Houge just misses double figures scoring at 9.8 ppg. to go along with a team-high 6.3 rpg.
- Rider leads the all-time series with Saint Peter's, 42-35. The Broncs swept the regular-season series last year, before the Peacocks pulled the upset in the MAAC Quarterfinals. Saint Peter's is led by second-year Head Coach Bashir Mason, who began his Head Coaching career at Wagner in 2012-13, the same year Kevin Baggett elevated to his current post at Rider. In nine head-to-head meetings, Baggett's teams have a 7-2 record against Mason's squads. The Broncs are 15-11 under Baggett against Saint Peter's, including a 9-3 mark in Jersey City.
- 12th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 182-179 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
