- Rider continues MAAC play Friday, when it plays host to Manhattan.
- Rider split a pair of games in the MAAC re-opening weekend, taking a tough 88-84 road loss at Quinnipiac Friday, before defeating Canisius, 79-76, in overtime on Sunday.
Mervin James scored a career-high 31 points at QU and added 21 vs. Canisius.
T.J. Weeks Jr. set his season high at 19 points at QU before going for 20 vs. Canisius.
Corey McKeithan forced overtime with a three vs. Canisius.
- Weeks Jr. enters the game 15 shy of 1,000 for his collegiate career, spanning four years at UMass and this year with the Broncs.

Mervin James was named MAAC Player of the Week on Dec. 26 for averaging 22.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 blocks per game in the two overtime decisions. He scored 25 points at Delaware and added 20 against Penn.
- James leads the MAAC at 20.1 points per game and is fourth at 7.4 rpg.

Allen Powell became the 42nd Rider player to score 1,000 career points against Stonehill on Dec. 8. Already a 1,000-point scorer for his collegiate career entering the season, including 620 in two seasons at North Alabama, James became Rider's 43rd 1,000-point scorer with his 1,000th as a Bronc Dec. 29 at Penn State.
- Manhattan is led by Shaquil Bender at 13.0 points per game. Seydou Traore has added 11.5 ppg. and a team-best 9.1 rpg. while blocking more than a shot per game. Daniel Rouzan has added 10.6 ppg., while Brett Rumpel has chipped in at 9.8 ppg. and 5.0 rpg. Jaden Winston's 4.3 apg. lead the Jaspers.
