NEW YORK, NY – The Rider University Field Hockey team was topped 1-0 by Columbia Sunday afternoon. The Broncs fall to 2-6 on the season, while the Lions improve to 3-5.
Late in the first quarter, the Lions scored off a penalty corner, for what would be the game's lone score.
The Broncs best opportunity came midway through the third quarter. On a pair of penalty corners,
Valeria Perales (Madrid, Spain/IES Mirasierra) had a pair of shots, the first going just wide, and the second being saved by the Columbia netminder.
