What You Need To Know
- Rider travels to Saint Peter's Thursday night. With a win, the Broncs could clinch no worse than the No. 3 seed in the MAAC Championships.
- After snapping a two-game skid with a 69-66 win over Siena on Feb. 24, the Broncs fell to Mount St. Mary's, 68-63, this past Sunday.
- Allen Powell went for a season-high 24 points, while Dwight Murray, Jr. scored 17 points and Mervin James posted his fifth double-double vs. Siena.
- Ajiri Ogemuno-Johnson eclipsed Mike Ringgold's program games played record with his 134th game played on Feb. 26.  
- Dwight Murray, Jr. continues to be the Broncs' do-it-all point guard, averaging 16.3 ppg., shooting 39.7 percent from deep. Murray's 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game are best on the team and his 4.8 rebounds are third.
- Rider holds a 41-34 lead over Saint Peter's in the all-time series. The two teams split the last two regular-season series, with each team winning on the road last year. The Broncs held home court earlier this season and Kevin Baggett's teams are 14-10 against Saint Peter's, including an 8-3 mark in Jersey City.
- The Peacocks are led by first-year Head Coach Bashir Mason, who took over at Saint Peter's after a decade at Wagner. Mason's tenure at Wagner began in 2012-13, the year Kevin Baggett became Head Coach at Rider. Baggett's Rider teams defeated Mason's Wagner squads in five of six meetings from Dec. 2013 to Nov. 2018. Isiah Dasher leads Saint Peter's at 13.7 points per game, while Jaylen Murray has also averaged in double figures at 11.3 ppg. Corey Washington (7.4 ppg., 5.1 rpg.), Jayden Saddler (7.1 ppg.), and Latrell Reid (6.0 ppg., 4.4 rpg., 3.6 apg., 1.2 spg.) have also made strong contributions.
- 11th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 176-164 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) and Thomas Leyden (187) have more wins at Rider.
