NEW YORK, NY– The Rider University Men's Track and Field team wrapped up their final meet before MAAC's, by competing at the Armory for the RU Scarlet Knight Open.
Artie Burgess had another impressive day as a part of the 4x400m team and individually in the 60m. Burgess was the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay team who finished second overall at the event with a time of 3:17.17. Burgess was joined by
Braeden Haines,
Sekai Lyken, and
Jerome Boyer to continue their impressive seasons respectively with an ECAC/IC4A qualifying mark. Burgess also finished 7th in the 60H with a time of 6.89 in the finals.
The Broncs got a solid showing from the runners in the 3000m, as
Nick Strain and
Iain Taylor were both able to PR at the RU Scarlett Knight Open. Strain was able to finish 14th overall with a time of 8:36.00, while Taylor finished 17th with a time of 8:39.65.
