Wrestling Ranks Second in December MAC Rankings

Quinn Kinner takes top spot at 149 lbs

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ –The Rider University Wrestling team placed 2nd in the December MAC Conference Rankings, as #13 Quinn Kinner was ranked 1st at 149 in the first conference rankings.

The Broncs sat tied for 2nd with Ohio as both finished with 101.5 points. Lock Haven placed in the top spot with 124 points. Rider was followed by Cleveland State, Central Michigan, George Mason, Northern Illinois, Clarion, Buffalo, SIUE, Kent State, Edinboro, and Bloomsburg. Rider currently sits 2nd in the MAC East at 1-3 and 1-0 in the MAC following a win vs SIUE on November 12th.

Kinner has had a stellar start to the year including picking up a pair of ranked wins to start the year vs #21 Caleb Tyus of SIUE and #6 Graham Rooks of Indiana. Kinner came into the year ranked 2nd at 149lbs in the MAC, following his many impressive performances including the pair of ranked wins the boosted Kinner into the top spot at 149 lbs.

Rider will be back in action Friday, January 5th to take on MAC foe Northern Illinois at 7 PM.
