- RU plays the final game in a six-game road trip Friday, when it travels to Siena.
- After opening the year with a 113-67 win over Immaculata on Nov. 6, Rider has fallen at No. 5 Marquette, Nebraska, Duquesne, Stony Brook and Maryland.

Mervin James had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds at Duquesne and followed up the effort with 19 points and nine rebounds at Stony Brook. Most recently, he scored a career-high 28 points at Maryland.

Corey McKeithan scored a career-high 18 points in the setback at Nebraska.

Mervin James had a team-high 15 points, while
T.J. Weeks Jr. posted a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds at Marquette.
- The Broncs were picked as the MAAC Preseason Favorite by the league's coaches.
Mervin James was also named MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, while
Allen Powell joined James on the Preseason All-MAAC First Team.
- James averaged 12.9 points and 6.8 rebounds last season, shooting 48.2 percent from the floor and 82.5 percent from the free-throw line. He posted a team-high five double-doubles, while scoring in double figures a team-high 24 times in starting all 30 games.
- Powell averaged 10.4 points, 2.1 assists, 1.5 three-point field goals made and 0.9 steals in 33.7 minutes per game last year. He scored in double figures 16 times and sits 33 points away from becoming Rider's 42nd 1,000-point scorer.
