EDWARDSVILLE, IL– #20 Quinn Kinner picked up his second win over a nationally-ranked opponent as the Rider University Wrestling team scored their first dual win of the year 29-6 over SIUE. With the win the Broncs move to 1-1 and 1-0 in MAC duals and the Cougars move to 0-2 and 0-1 in MAC duals.

Kinner again scored a big win for the Broncs defeating #21 Caleb Tyus 5-4. Kinner and Tyus exchanged shots early as both wrestlers scored takedowns in the first period but Kinner would escape to take a 3-2 lead going into the second. Tyus would even up the scoring in the second finding the quick escape, however, Kinner was able to pull through in the 3rd period scoring the takedown to go ahead and win 5-4. 

The Broncs would start the dual with a bonus point win for #28 Richie Koehler as he took down Marcel Lopez 9-0. The shutout win for Koehler is his first bonus point decision of the campaign and his first since March 3rd over Jacob Manley at the MAC Championships last season. #30 David Szuba followed up the Koehler major with one of his own taking down Bryson Buhk 14-4 late in the dual.

Tyler Klinsky would wrap up the dual by scoring a massive tech fall 21-3 over Davian Guanajuato. The tech fall is Klinsky's third and his four bonus point victory of the season.
