POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team fell in a close dual meet at Marist, 156-138, Saturday afternoon. The Broncs fall to 2-2 on the season, while the Red Foxes improve to 2-1.
The Bronc men won seven events in the meet.
Rider got off to a strong start in the 200-medley relay.

Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional),
Nicholas Lane (Hackettstown, NJ/Lane Academy), and
Bobby Irwin (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) out-touched Marist with a time of 1:33.13.
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) earned Rider's first individual win, taking the 200-free in 1:43.27. He later won the 50-free in 21.49.
Lane and Overton swam one-two in the 100-back, stopping the clock at 50.95 and 51.10 respectively.
Marcas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 277.50 and the 3-meter with a score of 298.80.
The Broncs swept the 200-back with
David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional),
Derek Fantano (Morris, CT/Holy Cross), and Overton touching the wall at 1:55.77, 1:56.28, and 1:56.45.
