LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Freshman
DJ Dudley (San Diego, CA/LA Premier Prep) led 12 Broncs in the scoring column as the Rider University men's basketball team defeated Georgian Court, 75-53, in an exhibition game Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gym.
The Broncs never trailed in the game, with the Lions tying the game once at 11-11 in the early going. But an 18-0 Rider run shortly thereafter created separation and pushed the Broncs' lead to 33-14 with 5:38 left in the first half. Rider maintained a double-digit advantage for the remainder of the game.
Quotes & Notes
"Not bad. We've got some work to do. Obviously it's still early. (TJ Weeks Jr. and
Corey McKeithan) did a good job today. I thought Mervin did a good job. Big 'Riq. Guys off the bench have to do a little better job executing coming in, taking care of the ball. But aside from that, we'll go back, watch the film and get better come Monday." –
Rider Head Coach Kevin Baggett
