BETHLEHEM, PA –
Sofia Gutierrez (Miami, FL/Palmetto Senior) went 3-0 and
Meadow LaDuke (St. Paul, MN/St. Michael-Albertville),
Raquel Bolin (Plantation, FL/Xceed Preparatory Academy) and
Agnese Ceccarelli (Arezzo, Italy/Liceo Classico Francesco Petrarca) won two matches each as the Rider University women's tennis team wrapped up the Fall season with a successful day at the Lehigh Hidden Duals Sunday.
The Broncs won six of eight singles matches against Lafayette, while taking three of four doubles matches against Washington & Lee. Rider also competed against Lehigh in doubles, with the Mountain Hawks taking three of four.
"What a difference between yesterday and today," said Rider Head Coach
Tom Battaglia. "The effort, attitude and support for each other was why we played the way we did. Winning six out of eight against Lafayette and three out of four against a D3 powerhouse (Washington & Lee) is tremendous for the program. We can compete with anybody if we just put forth this effort in day in and day out. A great way to end the Fall. Excited to get started again in January."
