Samantha Killin Finishes Second in Consolation Finals at Siena Invitational

TROY, NY – The Rider University women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Siena Invitational Saturday. Samantha Killin won C Flight consolation semifinals,8-3, over opponent Krisia Flores from RPI. She would eventually fall to Valentine Mudry from Saint Francis University, 8-2, in the consolation finals.

"A great weekend of tennis," said Rider Head Coach Tom Battaglia. "Very excited to get back to practice and make some key adjustments this week. The weekend was a great experience and a glimpse at what they can expect moving into the year. The women are excited for our first home match this Friday."

In doubles, Andrea Sydow and Jett Coetzee fell, 6-1, to Siena's Emma Boggiali and Maanya Viswanath. Rider's Agnese Ceccarelli also fell to Boggiali, 8-1, in the consolation semifinals of A Flight.

Rider returns to action Friday, Sept. 23, in a home dual against Lafayette.
