Volleyball Releases 2022 Schedule

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - The 2022 Rider University volleyball team will play in a trio of tournaments, including back-to-back matchups against ranked opponents to open the season, renew its local rivalry at Princeton, and feature a double round robin conference slate, announced head coach Jeff Rotondo on Friday. MAAC play begins on Sept. 17 with the Broncs home opener against Saint Peter's.


BYU Tournament
August 26-27 * Provo, UT

Series History:  First-ever meeting between the two programs
Of Note: BYU ended the 2021 season ranked ninth nationally and reached the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

Series History: First-ever meeting between the two programs
Of Note: The Cougars were ranked 23rd nationally at the end of last season, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Series History: First-ever meeting between the two programs
Of Note: 19 of the Blue Devils 29 matches in 2021 lasted just three sets.

Lehigh Tournament

Of Note: First meeting since 1992. The teams played twice in 1991 as East Coast Conference opponents.

Of Note: Rider picked up its lone win in the series in 2014. Kaitlyn Griffin '17 had 21 kills on .439 hitting in the four-set victory.

Of Note: The Broncs swept the Peacocks in their regular-season series in 2021. The Broncs have now won 23 of the last 24 meetings in the series. Morgan Romano is hitting .408 across four matches in her career against Saint Peter's.
 
Iona College

Series History: Iona leads 28-17
Of Note: The Broncs have won 10 of the last 11 meetings with the Gaels, including three victories last season. The Broncs eliminated the Gaels from the MAAC Tournament in four sets last year behind 26 kills from Morgan Romano.
 
Manhattan College
